Anxiety and Depression
Although considered separate conditions, they are in fact connected and more often than not they appear as a pair.
Anxiety
Anxiety is without doubt, the most common of psychological issues affection the vast majority of to some degree or another. No matter your sex, age or social status, it is likely that you are or have been or even will be an Anxiety Sufferer at some point in your life. Furthermore, Anxiety is a significant element in or influence of most diagnosed psychological issues. And thus, if resolved, can make a significant difference in the quality of life of most people.

Depression
One is not depressed if one feels low once in a while. Nor is one depressed if one feels sad or lonely if one has lost a significant loved one, a pet, or relationship, Feeling temporarily ‘low’, sad, unmotivated, lost, etc. is a normal reaction to such situations.
Depression is long term issue that is unrelated to any one particular circumstance. Depression is a psychological issues rather than a situational issue otherwise the appropriate solution would be situational rather than psychological. One can suffer from depression no matter how healthy, wealthy, famous, successful, or intelligent one is. Depression is a sustained sense of lowness, listlessness, demotivation, etc, regardless of how ‘good’ one’s life and opportunities are.
Despite their inefficacy and side effects, the medical profession are in the habit of diagnosing depression and handing out Antidepressants willy-nilly. So much so, that they are amongst the most prescribed medications worldwide. A conservative estimate of prescription rates indicates that between 15% to 20% of people are prescribed antidepressants annually.
